Goodwood Audio The Interfacer TX

The Interfacer TX is a flexible utility pedal designed to simplify complex rigs. It combines input/output buffering, stereo summing options, master mute, and a dedicated tuner send—all in one compact unit.

There are two versions available: the TX (gold print) and the standard Interfacer (white print). Both share the same core features and build quality, but the TX version adds an internal audio transformer, giving you access to ground lift and phase correction—especially useful for multi-amp setups.

Summing Options

The Interfacer offers two selectable summing modes via an internal DIP switch:

• Stereo Sum (default): Maintains normal stereo operation, but when summed, left and right inputs are combined and sent equally to both outputs.
• Split Sum: Keeps stereo effects intact, but when summed, only the left input is used and split to both outputs.

Ground Lift & Phase Correction (TX Only)

For players running multiple amps, the TX version helps solve common issues:

• Ground Lift: Eliminates unwanted hum caused by ground loops when using two amps. Engaging the ground lift isolates one amp safely using the internal transformer.
• Phase Correction: Fixes phase cancellation between amps, restoring low-end and overall fullness. Activate the transformer, then engage phase correction to align both amps properly.

Master Mute

A dedicated footswitch allows you to mute your entire signal before it hits your amps—useful for silent tuning, troubleshooting, or managing noise between songs.

Inputs & Buffering

• Passive Input: Ideal for placing vintage-style pedals like fuzzes or wahs before any buffer. It can also double as an input for external expression or tap tempo control.
• Moveable Buffered Input: Lets you decide exactly where buffering occurs in your signal chain. Place it after your sensitive pedals to maintain tone while still benefiting from a strong, consistent signal and always-on tuner output.
