We have a truly unique tenor banjo here—an interesting piece of Americana with a bit of regional history behind it. This instrument is associated with Buddy Nulph, a North Dakota television personality, adding an extra layer of story and character.
This banjo is primarily built on an Ambassador model, paired with a longer Ludwig Riviera neck. The original Ambassador headstock has been grafted onto the Riviera neck, and the Ambassador-style inlays have also been installed to match. It’s an unusual combination that reflects a bit of hands-on ingenuity from its past.
