Originally introduced in 2005 as a Guitar Center exclusive model, the RG2EX1 combines the sharp modern look of the RG series with straightforward rock-solid functionality that makes it equally comfortable on stage, in the studio, or at home.

Built with a lightweight basswood body and matching bound construction, the RG2EX1 offers a balanced, resonant feel with plenty of comfort for long playing sessions. The fast maple Wizard III neck is paired with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard, giving players easy access across the entire neck for technical riffs, fast solos, and modern lead work. Classic dot inlays and matching headstock finishes complete the clean, aggressive look.

Loaded with dual humbuckers, the RG2EX1 delivers powerful output with tight lows, cutting mids, and crisp highs suited for rock, metal, and heavier modern styles. Earlier versions featured IBZ by EMG pickups, while later models transitioned to Ibanez V7 and V8 pickups, both offering plenty of punch and clarity for high-gain tones. The fixed bridge design adds excellent tuning stability and sustain while keeping the overall setup simple and reliable.

This Ibanez RG2EX1 is in very good condition. Minimal fret wear. There are scratches from normal playing wear.
